This final version is the Sd.Kfz. 234/3, which features a 7.5cm KwK 51 L/24 gun mounted atop a basic Sd.Kfz. 234 hull. A total of 88 of these vehicles were produced between June and December 1944, before it was succeeded by the Sd.Kfz. 234/4 with its longer-barreled 7.5cm PaK 40 L/46 antitank gun. This vehicle was issued to German reconnaissance units.
