Initial Production Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf.J (w/5cm KwK 38 L/42 gun). 482 tanks were produced from March 1941. An longer 5cm KwK 39 L/60 gun was available for introduction on later Ausf.J models from December 1941 to mid-1942 .
